What is GPT Image 2.5?
GPT Image 2.5 is OpenAI's image model family, with Sunburst and Flare available in the Unify image generator on desktop and mobile.
Which model should I choose?
Choose Sunburst when editing precision and detailed creative direction matter most. Choose Flare for fast, high-quality everyday generation. You can switch between them in the same workspace.
Can I edit my own images?
Yes. Upload up to four reference images in the generator and describe your changes. Both models accept image inputs. Sunburst is the recommended choice for precise edits.
Which quality levels are available?
Choose Low, Medium, High, XHigh, or Max. Medium is the default. Higher levels use more credits; the generator shows the price before you submit.
Can I create transparent images?
Yes. Select a transparent background and PNG or WebP output. JPEG does not support transparency.
How large can the images be?
Choose 1K, 2K, or 4K with square, portrait, or landscape aspect ratios. The maximum output is 8,294,400 pixels with no edge above 3840 pixels. Resolutions above 2560×1440 are experimental.
How does pricing work?
Both models use the same output-based credit price for a given size and quality. Generate one to four images per request. Prices are shown in the generator and deducted from your credit balance; a failed generation releases its credit reservation.
